Position Overview

Cronulla Sharks JAFC is seeking an experienced Head Coach to lead the U15 Boys program in 2027. This is a paid position, supported by volunteer assistant coaches.

The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Sound technical and tactical football knowledge.

• A proven ability to develop and inspire junior players.

• Availability for training sessions and game days.

The Head Coach will be responsible for coaching the Division 1 team on game days while leading a consistent player development program across the entire age group.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a consistent coaching philosophy and game-day strategy across the age group.

• Design the pre-season program for the entire squad.

• Develop the in-season training program for implementation across both divisions.

• Ensure alignment with the club’s Sharks Way model and player development philosophy.

• Provide guidance and structure to the Division 2/3 Head Coach and assistant coaches.

• CV: Outlining relevant coaching, football and leadership experience.

• Cover letter or short written pitch: Explaining their interest in the role, coaching philosophy and what they would bring to the program.

• Coaching accreditation: Evidence confirming their current accreditation level.

 

Division 2/3 Head Coach Appointment

Recruitment for the Division 2/3 Head Coach and assistant coaches positions will follow the club’s usual seasonal coaching application process.
