We’ve brought the 2026 coaching nomination deadline forward to 31 December 2025.

This gives us the chance to bring our coaching group together earlier and make sure every coach has the support and resources they need for a successful season ahead.

Nominations are now open and will close COB Tuesday 31 December 2025.

All Junior and Auskick coach and assistant coach nominations must include a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
AFL coaching accreditation must also be completed by the closing date.

A big moment for the Sharks as outgoing President Mark officially handed over the ball to our new President, Peter Hamilton, and the 2026 Executive Committee.

Peter is a familiar face at Gwawley as a parent of Eliza (U13 girls) and twins Eden and Aria (U11 girls). He is currently the U13 girls coach and has led the team for the past seven years, since their U6 Auskick days. He also comes to us from Rossmark Building Designers, our major sponsor, who have a long history of supporting our great club and the local community.

Joining Peter on the executive team are:
• Vice President: David Parsons, dad to players in U10s and U13 girls, and coach of the 2025 U13 girls
• Treasurer: Wayde Harnett, dad of boys in U9 and U10s, and coach of the U9s in 2025
• Secretary: Sarah Rowland, now entering her 6th year on the committee. That’s a massive commitment. Sarah, you’re a machine.
• Registrar: Donna Stewart, entering her 3rd year as the first person every new and returning family hears from when they register to be a Shark

This team brings fresh energy and big new ideas for the season ahead, while continuing the strong legacy built over the past couple of years.

Mark, thank you from the entire Sharks community.
Your drive, commitment, and leadership over the past two years have left a lasting impact. We now have lights, access to a second training ground, naming rights to a NSW/ACT Volunteer of the Year (you), and the icing on the cake of being named 2025 AFL NSW/ACT Club of the Year - just to name a few of the great achievements.

With the raffle closing at midday tomorrow (Mon 8 Sep), we’ve already raised $7,600. Let’s finish strong and push towards $10k!

These girls played their last game as Sharks on Sunday in the prelim, officially retiring from junior footy. 💙

Together they’ve played a combined 809 games, and to top it off, Emily and Annaliese were part of the club’s 1st girls U12s team 7 years ago, making this moment a little extra special. 🙌

All club guernseys remain the property of CJAFC and must be returned to your team manager by 5pm, Friday 29 August 2025.

There is a $40 replacement fee for guernseys not returned.
